Window Position
A window's position is defined as the coordinates of its upper left corner.
These coordinates, sometimes called window coordinates, are always relative to
the upper left corner of the screen or, for a child window, the upper left corner
of the parent window's client area. For example, a top-level window having the
coordinates (10,10) is placed 10 pixels to the right of the upper left corner
of the screen and 10 pixels down from it. A child window having the coordinates
(10,10) is placed 10 pixels to the right of the upper left corner of its
parent window's client area and 10 pixels down from it.
The WindowFromPoint function retrieves the handle of the window occupying a particular point on
the screen. Similarly, the ChildWindowFromPoint and ChildWindowFromPointEx functions retrieve the handle of the child window occupying a particular
point in the parent window's client area. Although ChildWindowFromPointEx can ignore invisible, disabled, and transparent child windows, ChildWindowFromPoint cannot.

Nostalgia .Net |
|
.Net is powerful, but not all-powerful, so sometimes we need to use Win32 API for our .Net applications. It's simple enough with Platform Invoke if you have Win32 skill, but we do not always have time to dig the ancient documentation, declare the special types that are compatible with Win32, find the values of the Win32's constants and so on. Nostalgia .Net offers several simple-to-use classes, and components that will allow you to forget about the headache of Win32 and just use the power of Win32 in your application the same way as you use the native. Net classes. More » |
